I came to Pilates in the year 2000, after years of back pain and seeking alternate treatments. A friend of mine happened to be opening the very first Pilates studio in Munich Germany and invited me to attend a one on one session with her. And I was hooked from day 1!
After moving to New York in 2002, I continued my Pilates training by enrolling in a teacher training course at The Kane School in New York City. In teacher trainer Kelly Kane, I found a New York mentor. Since then, I have been teaching clients the art of Pilates from a fully equipped home studio, passing on my knowledge of the body and what it is capable of! My passion for the Pilates modality continues and I am always seeking out new and creative ways to teach.
I am fortunate that under the tutelage of Kelly Kane, and other teachers I have encountered along the way, I have received excellent training to work in a rehabilitative capacity as well as advanced body conditioning. I am able to offer something for all ages and levels of abilities. With a client-centered approach to training, I can address each client's needs to work effectively on correcting any imbalances and improving function in the body.

sessions
One-on-one private training is perfect for those who prefer a personal training experience. I will create a workout just for you using all of the Pilates equipment and guide you through proper alignment, breathing technique, and performance. In addition, private sessions allow for you to workout as often as you like. Each private session is 55 minutes long. Private sessions can be purchased individually or in packages of 10 sessions.

philosophy
Pilates is a body-conditioning method developed by Joseph H. Pilates in the 1920s that transcends all boundaries, bringing improved mind and body health to the masses.
His main goal was to strengthen the “powerhouse”—the oft ignored area between the bottom of the rib cage and the line across your hips—while flattening the stomach, firming the buttocks, and correcting a weak, painful lower back. The deeper core abdominal and back muscles associated with the powerhouse support the spine, internal organs and posture.
What does this mean for you? Pilates will improve your flexibility, strength, balance, muscle control and tone. You’ll become more aware of your body, posture and alignment, not only while you exercise, but during daily activities. This leads to a strong body with increased resilience to aging’s debilitating effects; this method is also considered to be an effective form of post-accident rehabilitation exercise, and is fundamental to injury prevention.
