Awesome Green Smoothie Recipe


If you a re looking for new ways to get your greens into your diet here is a great idea: green smoothies! I have been making these a while now, usually in the morning for my breakfast. And this recipe makes two servings of about 16 oz. each – so I share with my family – which makes me feel even better! (Or you can save it for later or the next day.) If you have the right ingredients you don’t taste the “green” at all, just deliciousness. Here’s one favorite recipe:

2 cups fresh organic spinach
1 cup coconut water
1-1/2cups mango
1 cup pineapple
1 banana
lime juice from 1 lime

• add up to 1 cup water to get the consistency you want
• Use at least one frozen fruit (I freeze my bananas and pineapple)
• add your favorite protein (I like hemp protein best with this)
• add 1 tbls ground flax seed to get your Omega 3 fatty acids for the day
• add 1 tbls organic virgin coconut oil (there are so many benefits to this, one being smooth clear skin, and it adds nice flavor to the smoothie)

You may need a pretty good blender to get it nice and smooth, I use the Blendteck and it rocks! Trust me, it is worth the investment, I use mine several times a day for me and my family. (I also here that the Bullet is quite effective)
